Blancpain's Bathyscaphe 5000A 0140 O52A is a dive watch with a 43.6 mm ceramic case. The case measures 13.8 mm thick, with a lug width of 23 mm. A unidirectional rotating bezel surrounds the sunburst blue dial, which sits under a sapphire crystal. The self-winding calibre 1315 drives the watch, showing central seconds and a date, and stores a power reserve of 120 hours. Blancpain finishes the ceramic case by hand before fitting it to a sail-canvas strap closed with a pin buckle. The result is a robust, comfortable watch built for regular wear rather than display alone. Rated to 300 metres, the case suits serious diving as well as daily use on land.
