Blancpain Ladybird Ultraplate

Blancpain's Ladybird Ultraplate, reference 0063B 1954 63A, comes in a white gold case measuring just 21.5 mm across. The case stands 8.2 mm thick, with lugs set at 11 mm, keeping the proportions suited to a woman's wrist. Inside is the self-winding calibre 615, offering a power reserve of 38 hours, with the seconds running from the centre of the dial. The mother-of-pearl dial is set with diamonds, giving the watch a soft, pale surface without any applied indices to interrupt it. A sapphire crystal protects the dial. The watch is fitted on a calf leather strap with a pin buckle. Water resistance is modest: Blancpain rates the case to 30 metres.
