Blancpain's Bathyscaphe 5000 1230 B52A is a titanium dive watch with a 43 mm case. The case measures 13.45 mm thick, with a lug width of 23 mm. A sapphire crystal covers the sunburst black dial, and the whole package sits on the wrist with a solid, purposeful feel typical of the collection. The self-winding calibre 1315 drives the watch, with central seconds and a date display, and delivers a power reserve of 120 hours. Blancpain fits this reference to a sail-canvas strap closed with a pin buckle. Rated to 300 metres, the case has more than enough depth capacity for serious diving use.
