Blancpain's Bathyscaphe 5000 0640 O52A is a men's dive watch with a 43.6 mm ceramic case. The case measures 13.8 mm thick, with a lug width of 23 mm that suits the sail-canvas strap. A sapphire crystal covers the sunburst blue dial, which carries a central seconds hand and a date window at the edge. Inside is the self-winding calibre 1315, a movement that stores a power reserve of 120 hours. The strap closes with a pin buckle rather than a deployant clasp. That combination of ceramic case and canvas strap keeps the watch light on the wrist. Blancpain rates the case to 300 metres, a solid depth rating for a dive watch of this size.
