Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier

Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier originated from a workshop founded by Michel Parmigiani in 1975 in Fleurier. With Sandoz Family Foundation support, Parmigiani Fleurier launched in 1996, and VMF's first in-house movement appeared in 1998. In January 2003, VMF formally separated from Parmigiani Fleurier to focus on developing advanced movements for multiple clients. Hermès International acquired a 25% stake in 2006 for 25 million Swiss francs, securing movement supply for its luxury watchmaking division. VMF is Parmigiani Fleurier's exclusive movement maker, producing calibers like the automatic VMF 4000 (launched 2002) and supplying over 90% of Parmigiani's components. For Hermès, VMF crafts high-end movements including the micro-rotor H1950. The company also supplies Richard Mille, Corum, Baume & Mercier, Fabergé, and has produced limited work for Patek Philippe and IWC. VMF emphasizes independent, bespoke production with high-end finishing.
