The Landeron factory grew from the Hahn family business in Le Landeron. It merged with Fabrique d'Horlogerie de Fontainemelon in 1925 and became part of Ebauches SA in 1926. Its cam-operated chronograph movements made Swiss chronographs less costly to produce. Landeron introduced the electric calibre 4750 in 1961, later worked on electronic movements, and closed in 1983. The historic factory is distinct from the present-day business using the Landeron Swiss Movements name.
