La Joux-Perret

Originally established in the 1980s as Jaquet-Baume (Jaquet SA) by Jean-Pierre Jaquet in La Chaux-de-Fonds, initially trading antique watches before expanding into movement manufacturing. Pre-2012, the company produced around 50,000 movements yearly, modifying ETA calibers (2824, 7750) and high-end complications including tourbillons. In 2012, Citizen Group of Japan acquired the company, rebranding it as La Joux-Perret. Production scaled to 150,000 movements annually, employing approximately 120 people. The company now supplies Citizen's Swiss brands (Frédérique Constant, Arnold & Son, Angelus) while continuing to serve independent clients. In recent years, LVMH Watches Division acquired a minority stake to secure production for TAG Heuer and other brands, though Citizen retains majority control.
