Swiss movement manufacturer founded by Tudor (Rolex) and Chanel, supplying high-performance automatic movements to Tudor, Breitling, Norqain, Chanel, and other prestigious brands.
Kenissi originated in 2010 as Tudor's initiative to develop in-house movements amid Swatch Group's ETA supply restrictions, with formal operations starting around 2015-2016 in Le Locle. The name derives from the Greek 'Kinesis' meaning 'in movement.' Tudor launched its first in-house caliber MT5621 in 2015, and Kenissi expanded into an independent supplier by 2016. The facility is adjacent to Tudor's Le Locle manufacture. Ownership structure: Tudor/Rolex SA holds majority stake, Chanel acquired 20% stake and maintains joint venture partnership. Kenissi supplies Tudor, Chanel, Norqain, Breitling, Fortis, TAG Heuer, Bell & Ross, and Ultramarine with customizable movement families in large, medium, and small sizes with various complications (chronographs, GMT, calendars, power reserve indicators).
