Jean-François Mojon founded Chronode in 2005 after working at IWC. The present limited company was registered in 2007, distinct from the origin of the business. Chronode provides movement development, prototyping, decoration, assembly and series production, combining internally produced components with partner supplies. Its published calibre range includes the manually wound C101, alarm calibre C501 and tourbillon calibre C502, as well as the automatic C102. A 2020 interview with Mojon describes work for brands including Cyrus, Czapek, MB&F, Hermès and Urban Jürgensen. Ownership is not inferred from the directors listed in commercial-register notices.
