Companies House lists Arken Watch Company Limited as incorporated in March 2021, and Arken's official origin page says the Instrumentum crowdfunded pre-orders opened in September 2021, when Arken was born. The official story identifies Kenneth Lam as the founder behind the project, and Companies House lists Kenneth Hoa Lam as active officer and person with significant control. Official sources describe Arken watches as designed in Great Britain, with Asian case and metalwork suppliers, Japanese movements, and UK assembly, quality control, tolerance/performance testing and packaging. The Alterum uses a modified Miyota 9015 with a 12-hour GMT hand function. Because Arken has UK assembly/QC but uses supplied movements and overseas case suppliers, it is classified as assembler.
