Aevig

Aevig was founded in 2013 by Chip Yuen, a long-time watch collector with a passion for vintage timepieces from the 1950s to 1970s. Born and raised in the Netherlands, Yuen discovered the watch community while researching purchases and became an active member of Watchuseek forums. With a background in fine arts, industrial design, and audio-visual media, he began experimenting with watch designs in 2007. His work gained recognition through successful crowd-sourced projects for Watchuseek's Chinese Mechanical Watch Forum (ST-5 project) and the Affordable Watch Forum. Inspired by microbrands like Halios and Lew & Huey, Yuen launched Aevig with two debut models: the Huldra automatic diver and the Corvid quartz field watch. The brand has since expanded its collection while maintaining its core philosophy of vintage-inspired designs with contemporary materials.
