Ulysse Nardin Freak X Ice

Ulysse Nardin's Freak X Ice, reference 2303-270/00, has a titanium case measuring 43 mm across. The case is 13.38 mm thick and houses the movement and dial as a single rotating carousel rather than a conventional dial. A sapphire crystal covers the display, which shows the time through the position of the flying carousel itself. The self-winding calibre UN-230 drives the piece, with 72 hours of power reserve and a silicon escapement in place of a traditional balance spring. This is the watch's principal complication, replacing hands and dial with rotating movement architecture. A rubber strap is fitted to the case. Ulysse Nardin rates the case to 50 metres of water resistance.
