Ulysse Nardin's Freak X Ti Black, reference 2303-270.1/BLACK, comes in a 43 mm titanium case with a black PVD finish. The case measures 13.38 mm thick. A sapphire crystal covers the front, and there is no conventional dial or hands: the self-winding UN-230 calibre itself rotates to indicate the time, driven by a flying carousel that turns around its own axis. This in-house movement runs on a silicon escapement and stores 72 hours of power reserve. The case is fitted to a calf leather strap. Rated to 50 metres, the water resistance is modest for daily wear but consistent with the piece's focus on movement architecture over sport specification.
