The Patek Philippe Nautilus 5740/1G-001 is a 40 mm white gold perpetual calendar with a case measuring 8.42 mm thick. The sunburst blue dial is embossed horizontally and paired with white gold baton-style hour markers and hands, both treated with luminescent coating. Self-winding calibre 240 Q drives the watch, an ultra-thin movement with a 22K gold off-centre minirotor and a power reserve of 38 to 48 hours. It shows day, date, month and moon phases alongside the perpetual calendar function. A sapphire crystal covers the dial, and the same crystal is used for the case back, allowing a view of the movement. The watch is fitted on a white gold bracelet. The screw-down crown helps keep the case water resistant to 30 metres.
