Rudis Sylva was co-founded by Jacky Epitaux in 2006 in Les Bois, in the Franches-Montagnes district of the Swiss Jura. The brand is closely tied to local craft specialists and nearby component makers. Its defining development is the Harmonious Oscillator, shown at Baselworld in 2009, which links two toothed balances and drives them through a single escapement.
