Swiss haute horlogerie manufacture renowned for audacious, avant-garde skeleton timepieces and exceptional complications. One of the few brands with nearly all movements bearing the prestigious Poinçon de Genève (Geneva Seal), Roger Dubuis combines traditional watchmaking mastery with bold, contemporary design through iconic collections like Excalibur.
Roger Dubuis was founded in 1995 by master watchmaker Roger Dubuis and entrepreneur Carlos Dias as Société Genevoise des Montres (SOGEM). Roger Dubuis had previously spent 14 years at Patek Philippe developing high complications after starting his career at Longines in the late 1950s. He left Patek in 1980 to establish his own atelier. The brand unveiled its first fully in-house watches in 1999 after four years of development. In 2001, the manufacture moved to a purpose-built facility in Meyrin on the outskirts of Geneva. The iconic Excalibur collection launched in 2005 featuring the Double Tourbillon Skeleton movement. Richemont Group acquired 60% of the company in August 2008, later purchasing the remaining 40% in January 2016. Co-founder Roger Dubuis passed away in October 2017 at age 79, leaving behind a legacy of horological innovation.
