Record

Record was a Swiss watch company founded in 1903 in Tramelan. The brand gained notable recognition in 1960 when its pocket watch (caliber 435B) became the first Swiss watch to achieve wide acceptance on US railroads. Longines acquired Record in 1961, and the brand subsequently produced watches with the 'Record Longines' dual signature. Though production continued until the 1990s, the brand is now defunct, making vintage Record watches collectible.
