Swiss pilot watch brand originally founded by Russian watch manufacturer Volmax. AVIATOR produces aviation-inspired timepieces designed for pilots and watch enthusiasts, combining precision, functional elements, and timeless design. Known for their MIG collection named after legendary Russian fighter jets.
AVIATOR was launched in 2000 by Volmax, a Russian watch company formed by former employees of Poljot (First Moscow Watch Factory). In 2002, Volmax registered three historic Russian watch brands: AVIATOR, Buran, and Sturmanskie. Originally operating from Russia, AVIATOR relocated its headquarters and production to Porrentruy, Switzerland in 2011, positioning itself in the heart of Swiss horology. The brand's R&D facilities are located inside the control tower of the regional Swiss Jura airport, allowing close collaboration with aviation professionals. Today, AVIATOR watches are used worldwide by airline and military pilots, including various aerobatic teams, and the brand is recognized as the official watch of the Russian military aerobatic teams.
