Swiss pilot watch brand launched by Russian manufacturer Volmax, producing aviation-inspired timepieces from its headquarters in Porrentruy, Switzerland.

AVIATOR was launched in 2000 by Volmax, a Russian watch company formed by former employees of Poljot (First Moscow Watch Factory). In 2002, Volmax registered three historic Russian watch brands: AVIATOR, Buran, and Sturmanskie. Originally operating from Russia, AVIATOR relocated its headquarters and production to Porrentruy, Switzerland in 2011, changing its dial text from 'Made in Russia' to 'Swiss Made.' The brand's R&D facilities are located inside the control tower of the regional Swiss Jura airport, allowing close collaboration with aviation professionals. AVIATOR watches are used by airline and military pilots worldwide, and the brand serves as the official watch of Russian military aerobatic teams.
