Raúl Pagès

Raúl Pagès trained as a watchmaker-restorer and complication designer in Le Locle, then spent years restoring important historical watches. In 2012 he set up his own workshop to hand make the Tortue automaton, followed by the Soberly Onyx wristwatch in 2016. He joined the AHCI in 2017 and later developed the Régulateur à détente RP1, a wristwatch with his own calibre and a pivoted detent escapement. The RP1 won the inaugural Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives in 2024.
