Chinese watch-industry material associates the Mingzhu movement tradition with the Guangzhou Watch Factory lineage continued by Guangzhou Wuyang Watch Co., Ltd. The historic factory and the modern Guangzhou Wuyang company have distinct establishment dates, neither of which establishes the founding year of the Mingzhu movement name.
