BEHRENS
ActiveBEHRENS is a Chinese mechanical watch brand based in Shenzhen. Its watches use unconventional time displays, including rotating indicators, astronomical mechanisms and double-retrograde hands.
Lin Bingqiang founded BEHRENS in Shenzhen in 2012 after working in the watch industry supply chain. The brand launched the Rotary and Apolar in 2020. Its official history dates the introduction of the Perigee with its first in-house calibre, BM01, to 2022, followed by the BM02-powered Ultra-Light 11G and 20G in 2023. The current range combines models described by the brand as using in-house calibres with watches using third-party bases: the Starship II uses a Miyota 9015, while the Rotary 2025 uses a Sellita SW200. BEHRENS introduced its Master collection with the Kung Fu in 2024.
