One of China's oldest and most prestigious watch manufacturers, known for producing high-complexity in-house movements and tourbillons. Beijing Watch combines exceptional technical sophistication with traditional Chinese craftsmanship including enamel painting, micro-carving, Suzhou embroidery, and engraving, representing the pinnacle of Chinese haute horlogerie.
Beijing Watch Factory was officially established on June 19, 1958, with 21 watchmaking pioneers training at Beijing Industrial College while factory facilities were under construction. The first 17 watches were completed by September 1958, high-quality copies of Swiss Roamer movements. Under the instruction of Beijing Mayor Peng Zhen, the factory maintained strict quality standards matching Swiss equivalents. The factory played a key role in developing China's Standard Movement, producing the first automatic version. In 1995, master watchmaker Xu Yaonan began work on China's first high-quality tourbillon, which entered production in 2004 as the TB01-2. A double-tourbillon (TB02) was released for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, incorporating China's first differential device. Beijing Watch debuted at Baselworld in 2008 with an engraved tourbillon requiring a full year of decoration work. In 2009, they pioneered a dual-axis tourbillon. The company was acquired by Shenzhen-based FIYTA in October 2016, becoming part of China's largest watch group while maintaining its focus on high-end watchmaking.
