Atelier Méphalie
RevivedAtelier Méphalie is a Chinese watchmaker producing hand-wound minute repeater wristwatches with its own developed and manufactured movements. Its Mei, Hua and Li collections feature hand-engraved gold, cloisonné enamel and an automaton paired with hand-turned guilloché.
The historical Mephalie name was founded in 1876 by Sun Tingyuan. His son Sun Meitang opened a clock factory in Shanghai in 1915; the workshop was destroyed in 1932. Lin Xiaolin initiated the modern Atelier Méphalie project in 2021. After five years of movement development, the revived brand unveiled its Mei, Hua and Li collections on October 23, 2026. The debut watches are the Voice of China, Galloping Horse and The Conductor, each built around a hand-wound minute repeater movement.
