German independent watchmaker creating contemporary interpretations of 18th-century Saxon court watchmaking with in-house movements.

Lang & Heyne was founded in 2001 by Marco Lang and Mirko Heyne in Dresden, Germany. Marco Lang, a fifth-generation watchmaker, was accepted into the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI) in 2005. The brand creates contemporary interpretations of 18th-century Saxon court watchmaking principles. Their watches are named after historical figures from the Fürstenzug, a famous 19th-century mural in Dresden depicting Saxon rulers. The company maintains its independence by being located in Dresden rather than Glashütte. After Mirko Heyne departed in 2002, Marco Lang continued the brand alone.
