Emmanuel Bouchet is a French independent watchmaker who launched his eponymous brand in 2014 with the Complication One. Born in Charmauvillers, a French village on the Swiss border with a strong watchmaking tradition, Bouchet grew up in a watchmaking family—his father was a renowned watchmaker who won the Chronometrie Prize multiple times. Bouchet trained in Morteau, France, before moving to Switzerland to work at the epicenter of professional watchmaking. He previously created grand complications for Jaeger-LeCoultre, Parmigiani, and Harry Winston's Opus series. His signature creation, the Complication One, features a unique dual escapement system with an oversized, slow-beating escapement positioned at the center of the dial that ticks once every 15 seconds—75 times slower than a standard Swiss lever escapement. Production is limited to approximately 50 pieces per year.
