Watchmaker Daniel Roth founded the brand in 1988 in Le Sentier. Bulgari acquired Daniel Roth in 2000, and LVMH acquired Bulgari in 2011. In 2023, the brand was revived with support from La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton. Its current DR001 is a manual-winding movement made by La Fabrique du Temps for Daniel Roth.
