Swiss-made, Singapore-conceived watch brand known for avant-garde mechanical timepieces that combine whimsical designs with traditional horological craftsmanship.

Azimuth was founded in 2003 by Alvin Lye, a pre-owned watch retailer, and Christopher Long, a mechanical engineer, becoming the first Singaporeans to design and produce Swiss-made watches. Their debut Bombardier 1 pilot watch in 2004 gained international attention after a Danish watch journalist reviewed it. Despite facing copyright lawsuits from established Swiss brands, which they won, the company persevered and relocated to Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Swiss watchmaker Giuseppe Picchi joined as CEO and partner, while Alvin Lye departed. Under Christopher Long's continued leadership, the brand shifted from military-inspired designs to wildly experimental creations. Each timepiece is modified and assembled in the Neuchâtel workshop. The brand celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023.
