Ulysse Nardin Freak X Gold

Ulysse Nardin's Freak X Gold, reference 2322-500-2A/1A, is built with a 41 mm rose gold case. The case measures 13.6 mm thick and carries a sapphire crystal over the dial. Instead of a conventional movement display, the whole works are visible through the self-winding calibre UN-232, which functions as the hour and minute hands and rotates as a flying carousel around its own axis. The movement runs on a silicon balance wheel and spring, with a DIAMonSIL escapement wheel and anchor, and stores 72 hours of power reserve. A rose gold micro-rotor drives the winding, and the escapement itself forms part of the display. The watch is fitted on an alligator leather strap. Ulysse Nardin rates the case to 100 metres.
