Patek Philippe's Nautilus 5990/1A-011 is a steel chronograph with a case measuring 40.5 mm across and 12.53 mm thick. The dial has a sunburst blue-gray finish with a black-gradient rim, set with white gold baton markers and luminous hands and indices. A sapphire crystal covers the display back, showing the self-winding calibre CH 28-520 C FUS, which runs with 45 hours of power reserve. Beyond the flyback chronograph, the movement adds a second time zone with day/night indication and a date hand coupled to local time. The case has a screw-down crown and is fitted to a steel bracelet. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres, modest for a sports watch of this type but consistent with the reference's dressier proportions.
