The IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Automatic 42, reference IW501706, has an 18 ct 5N gold case measuring 42.4 mm across and 13 mm thick. Water resistance is rated to 50 metres. The self-winding IWC-manufactured calibre 52011 offers 168 hours of power reserve and runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The silver-plated dial displays small seconds, the date and remaining power reserve beneath a double box-glass sapphire crystal. A sapphire crystal in the caseback reveals the movement, including its rotor with an 18-carat gold medallion. IWC supplies a dark brown alligator leather strap by Santoni, measuring 22 mm at the lugs.
