The Grand Seiko Evolution 9, reference SLGH033, has a steel case measuring 40 mm in diameter. The green dial pattern evokes white birch forests near the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi. Measuring 47 mm lug-to-lug, the case is 11.7 mm thick; water resistance is rated to 100 metres. Above the dial is a box-shaped sapphire crystal, with anti-reflective coating on its inner surface. The watch has a date display and a see-through case back. The steel bracelet has a folding clasp with micro-adjustment. Approximately 80 hours of power reserve is provided by self-winding calibre 9SA5.
