Blancpain's Villeret Ultraplate 6651N 3642 55B has a 40 mm case in red gold. The case measures 8.7 mm thick, a genuinely slim profile for a self-winding watch. Sapphire crystal covers the opaline dial, which carries a date display and central seconds. Inside is the calibre 1151, a self-winding movement with a power reserve of 100 hours, a figure well above the norm for its class. The dial's clean layout leaves the date and running seconds as the only complications, in keeping with the Ultraplate's restrained design. An alligator leather strap closes with a folding clasp. Water resistance is rated to 30 metres, adequate for a dress watch of this kind.
