Blancpain Villeret Ultraplate

Blancpain's Villeret Ultraplate 6224 2987 55B is a 38 mm case in red gold. The case measures 8.35 mm thick, with lugs set 20 mm apart. A sapphire crystal covers the opaline dial, which is set with diamonds. Inside is the self-winding calibre 1150, a movement offering a power reserve of 100 hours, well beyond the usual two or three days. The watch shows a central seconds display along with a date function at the appropriate hour. It comes on an alligator leather strap closed with a folding clasp. Rated to 30 metres, the case is built to handle splashes and rain rather than any sustained time in water.
