Blancpain's Bathyscaphe 5100 1130 63A is a steel dive watch with a 38 mm case. Case thickness measures 10.8 mm, and the lug width is 20 mm. A sapphire crystal covers the black dial, which carries a central seconds display. The self-winding calibre 1153 drives the watch and stores 100 hours of power reserve, well above what most automatic movements offer. Blancpain fits the case to a calf leather strap closed with a pin buckle. The strap's proportions keep the watch wearable despite its dive-watch specification. Rated to 300 metres, the case handles serious depth without needing a larger diameter to do it.
