72h power reserve28,800 vph (8 Hz)
The Rolex caliber 4162 is an automatic mechanical chronograph movement developed and manufactured in-house by Rolex. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers approximately 72 hours of power reserve. The movement features a countdown programming mechanism activated via the lower pusher, simplifying the interface compared to the earlier 4161's Ring Command bezel system, and incorporates Rolex's Chronergy escapement with Paraflex shock protection. Currently in production, it powers the Yacht-Master II reference 126680.
