The Rolex 1030 (cal. 1030) is an automatic movement introduced in 1950 as the brand's first caliber featuring a bidirectional automatic winding rotor. It operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour and powered the Oyster Perpetual, Submariner, and Explorer. The 1030 marked Rolex's adoption of the bidirectional rotor system and served as the foundation for subsequent generations of in-house automatic calibers. Production has been discontinued.
