27/31 jewels28,800 vph (4 Hz)
The Rolex caliber 3035 debuted in 1977 as a high-beat automatic movement, with the caliber 3135 following in 1988 as its upgraded successor. The 3135 increased the jewel count from 27 to 31, added a larger balance wheel and full balance bridge, and retained the 28,800 vph frequency and Kif shock protection of its predecessor. The movement remains in production and serves as the base for many contemporary Rolex references.
