Sjöö Sandström
ActiveSjöö Sandström is a Stockholm watchmaker that hand-assembles mechanical and quartz watches, including sports watches and the Royal Capital dress-watch collection.
Engineers Christer Sjöö and Mikael Sandström founded Sjöö Sandström in Stockholm in 1986. The Automatic S1 followed in 1993 and received the Excellent Swedish Design award in 1995. The Chronolink Worldtimer UTC launched in 1997, combining mechanical and electronic timekeeping. Landsort and UTC Skydiver were introduced in 2011, followed by Royal Capital in 2014 through a collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture. Watches are assembled, adjusted and inspected in the company's Södermalm facility using externally supplied movements. The operating company, Sjöö Sandström Sweden AB, is part of Elgudden Invest AB's corporate group.
