Meccaniche Veneziane was founded in May 2017 by brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli in San Donà di Piave, near Venice. The brand draws inspiration from Venetian heritage and Italian craftsmanship. The company gained initial recognition through highly successful Kickstarter crowdfunding campaigns in 2017-2018, raising over $800,000. In January 2022, the company rebranded from Meccaniche Veneziane to Venezianico to better reflect its evolved vision and technical growth. The brand produces mechanical watches featuring designs inspired by Venice's architecture and maritime history, with models like the Nereide diver and Redentore dress watch. In 2025, the company introduced its first proprietary manufacture movement, the V5000 caliber, marking a significant milestone in its vertical integration. By 2024, revenue reached €11 million with distribution in over 100 countries.
