The Ickler family has been involved in watchmaking since 1924, when Karl Ickler founded a watch case manufacturing company in Pforzheim. The company was run by Karl's sons Heinz and Kurt Ickler after World War II, rebuilding production in 1947. In 1978, Thomas Ickler took over the family business. In 1980, Thomas Ickler established the LIMES watch brand. The company maintains vertical integration, handling everything from design and construction to case production, polishing, grinding, assembly, and final inspection in Pforzheim. In 2021, Raphael Ickler, representing the fourth generation, took over leadership of the company. LIMES offers high-quality mechanical watches including professional diving watches and exclusive timepieces.
