FIYTA is China's leading watch brand and one of the world's three major aerospace watch brands. The company is renowned for its partnership with China's manned space program, having supplied timing instruments to Chinese astronauts since 2003. FIYTA combines professional watchmaking expertise with aesthetic design, offering collections ranging from space-inspired chronographs to skeleton watches featuring camera lens design elements.
Founded in 1987 as Shenzhen Feida Watch Company, FIYTA pioneered the Shenzhen model of watchmaking where parts manufacturers, assemblers, and brand owners operate as independent entities. In 1993, FIYTA made history by listing on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (000026.SZ), becoming the only listed watch company in China. The brand gained international recognition when its timepieces won blind tests conducted by China's aerospace authorities in 2000, leading to its designation as the Official Partner of China's Space Program. FIYTA chronographs have accompanied Chinese astronauts on every mission from Shenzhou-5 (2003) onward. For the historic first Chinese spacewalk in 2008, FIYTA developed the Extravehicular Space Watch (Spacemaster), a massive mechanical chronograph using a modified Shanghai 3L movement. In 2011, FIYTA became the first Chinese watch brand to exhibit in Baselworld Hall 1, Switzerland. The company expanded its high-end capabilities by acquiring Beijing Watch Factory in October 2016, gaining access to their range of premium movements.
