Industrial designer Zhang Jianmin founded CIGA Design in Shenzhen. Its Blue Planet watch uses an asynchronous display developed with movement producer Sea-Gull and won the Challenge Watch Prize at the 2021 Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. The brand combines skeletonised mechanical watches with unconventional time displays and assembles its watches in China.
