Cyrus is an independent Swiss luxury watch brand known for innovative mechanical timepieces featuring bold designs and complex complications. The brand's philosophy centers on the 'Conquest of Innovation,' pushing the boundaries of mechanical watchmaking while maintaining respect for horological tradition. Cyrus watches are distinguished by their signature cushion-shaped cases with symmetrically opposed crowns at 3 and 9 o'clock positions.
Cyrus was founded in 2010 by Swiss brothers Julien and Laurent Lecamp with financial backing from the Richard family. The brand name references the ancient Persian emperor Cyrus the Great. In 2014, full ownership was transferred to Dr. Pablo Richard and his father Dr. Hans-Peter Richard, private investors who had supported the brand from its inception. The company established its manufacture in Le Locle, partnering with Chronode SA, the movement development company founded by master watchmaker Jean-François Mojon, who won the Best Watchmaker Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2010. The first two collections debuted in 2011, with the Klepcys becoming the brand's signature line featuring innovative complications including the distinctive vertical power reserve display.
