ARCHIMEDE
ActiveGerman watch brand from Pforzheim producing mechanical watches with in-house manufactured cases, combining Swiss movements with German craftsmanship rooted in a century of case-making expertise.
ARCHIMEDE was born from the Ickler watch case manufacture. Karl Ickler founded the family business in Pforzheim in 1924, establishing a reputation for high-quality watch cases that attracted an international clientele. After WWII, his sons Heinz and Kurt rebuilt production in 1947. Planning for the ARCHIMEDE brand began at the turn of the millennium, with the first Pilot models released in 2003. Now in its fourth generation under Thomas Ickler with support from his children Lisa and Raphael, the company maintains complete in-house case manufacturing - including design, construction, prototypes, parts production, surface finishing, laser engraving, assembly and quality control - all done in Pforzheim. The collection spans five families: Pilot, DeckWatch, Klassik, SportTaucher, and OutDoor, all featuring Swiss movements.
