Ulysse Nardin Hourstriker Samourai

Ulysse Nardin's Hourstriker Samourai, reference 6102-130/SAMOURAI, is a 43 mm case in 18 ct rose gold. The dial reproduces a Japanese print depicting the duel between Miyamoto Musashi and Sasaki Kojiro, set under a sapphire crystal. Inside is the self-winding calibre UN-610, with 41 jewels and a 40 hour power reserve. The main complication is the hours and minutes chiming repeater, which strikes the hours on demand. This is a limited edition, one of only 18 pieces made. The case is paired with an alligator leather strap. Water resistance is modest at 30 metres, in keeping with a dress piece built around its chiming mechanism rather than sport use.
