The Richard Mille RM 40-01 Automatic Tourbillon McLaren Speedtail takes the form of a water droplet. Limited to 106 pieces, the watch uses self-winding calibre CRMT4 for hours and minutes, with an oversize date and power-reserve indicator. Grade 5 titanium is used for the bridges, baseplate and rotor core. Five prototypes are developed for the shape, which is wider at 12 o'clock than at 6 o'clock. Some wheels are machined with a McLaren logo, and component rims receive buff polishing. The variable-geometry winding rotor uses platinum and red gold, with a design inspired by the Speedtail's bonnet.
