The Richard Mille RM 002-V2 Tourbillon uses a carbon nanofibre movement baseplate. Manual-winding calibre RM002-V2 powers hours and minutes, with a power-reserve indicator in the display. The baseplate material is a composite composed of carbon fibres. Moulding gives the composite an isotropic structure with mechanical, physical and chemical stability. The material is amorphous and chemically neutral. Production of the composite involves a pressure of 7,500 N/cm2 and a temperature of 2,000 degrees Celsius.
