The Richard Mille RM 004-V1 Chronograph has a split-seconds chronograph and a grade 5 titanium baseplate. Manual-winding calibre RM004-V1 contains 383 components and powers the hours, minutes and seconds display. A 30-minute totaliser records elapsed time alongside a power-reserve indicator. The baseplate alloy contains 90% titanium, 6% aluminium and 4% vanadium. Column wheels control the levers of the timing mechanism. Development of the split-seconds components includes work on the spindle and the arms, with geometric research into the column wheels.
