The Richard Mille RM 017 Tourbillon Extra Flat has a rectangular case and ribbed movement components. Manual-winding calibre RM017 contains 23 jewels, runs at 3 Hz and drives hours and minutes with a power-reserve indicator. The baseplate and bridges are grade 5 titanium with black PVD coating. Bridges, screws and hands are finished by hand, and the case curves and tapers towards 12 and 6 o'clock. Its three main case components require 202 separate machining operations. A blocking gear is included in the safety system, together with a torque-limiting crown.
