This yellow gold Patek Philippe Rare Handcrafts 995/153J-001, reference Targe, is a 45 mm pocket watch built as a unique piece. The case measures 9.72 mm thick and carries a hand-engraved geometrical frieze, paired with paillonné enamel in two shades of brown depicting a mediaeval Scottish targe. A sapphire crystal covers the gold dial, itself hand-engraved and set with gold paillons along the minute scale. The manually wound calibre 17''' LEP PS drives the movement, with small seconds and a power reserve of 50 hours. A Cairngorm cabochon is set into the crown, and the watch comes with a matching gold stand shaped as a Scottish dirk. Given its construction, the case is protected against humidity and dust only, with no water resistance rating.
